Yes, it’s sad but true, it turns out that 420 is *not* the answer for everything in life.

Caffeine (the band) may be what you want for a great night out you’ll remember, and now it looks like you need Caffeine (the drug) if you want to remember that night for a very long time. It turns out caffeine “protects the brain” from Alzheimer’s, at least if you’re a rabbit. You can read more about it here.

So next Saturday, the 12th, come out to the Hill Station (located at 7838 Cincinnati - Dayton Rd, West Chester, 45069) for the Caffeine you want, then go find a 24 hour Starbucks for the caffeine you need. Even if you’re name isn’t Bugs or Peter.

Forget an Explorer, Strat, or Les Paul, if you want to be the coolest person on the block playing Guitar Hero / Rock Band you’ve got to get one of these. Just make sure you have lots of room to cut loose

No gigs this weekend, but we’ve posted a couple of new dates at the Iron City Bar to make up for the show we missed due to the Blizzard of ’08. We hope to see you there.

Anyway, we saw this video making the rounds on the net and thought nothing says “Happy Easter” like a creepy robot. Meet “Big Dog”. Watch it until at least about 35 seconds in when the guy kicks it and it *catches itself*. Sure they say it’s a great idea because it’ll help rescue people from collapsed buildings or explore in hospitable areas, but you tell me no one is going to decide to slap some guns on it and make it think “just a little”. Next thing you know, these things are walking down your the street, and real life become a Terminator prequel. Yikes.

Can’t wait until Monday to be Sham-rocked and get Blarney Stoned? If so, then we’ve got just the thing you’re looking for. The leprechauns will be marching into town early this Saturday night (3/15) when Caffeine heads up a pre-St. Patrick’s Day Party at the Ramada Inn in Middletown, OH. We’ll be playing your favorite rock and dance songs and throwing out some Saint Patty’s swag, so get there early.

Blizzards and Snow Emergencies be damned, you can’t stop the rock.

Caffeine’s show Saturday night at Brenda’s Double Deuce went on as planned and the band had a great time, even after digging our equipment vans out of 15 feet of snow (give or take a few feet).

We want to thank everyone that braved the ice and snow to get out and have a drink, party with the band, and have fun with 3 foot icicles. Check out the new pictures we just posted from the show to see what we’re talking about.

As for the show we couldn’t make Friday night, look for us to reschedule an new show at the Iron City.

Next time you’re out to see Caffeine and you want something different than just a bottle of Bud or a Cherry Bomb, here’s the list for you. They range from the, “I never thought of putting those together” to the just plain fucked up.

1.5 oz Vodka
1/2 oz Blue Curacao
Float 2 or 3 raisins for “floater” action

For Overall Grossness:
Surf and Turf Shot
1 Oz Bar Tequila
1/2 Oz Bloody Mary Mix
1/2 Oz Beef Au Jus or a beef bullion cube dissolved warm water
One Raw Oyster

For Pure Sickening Strength
Two-Tone Supercharged Flaming Lamborghini

Part 1 - In a Martini Glass Combine about 1/3 oz of each of the following:
Jagermeister
Drambuie
Galliano
Gran Marnier
Sambuca
Then float 1 oz of Bacardi 151

Part 2 -
In shot glass combine 1/2 oz of Rumpleminz and 1/2 oz of Midori
In another shot glass combine 1/2 oz Rumpleminz and 1/2 oz of Campari

To drink have the victim drink from the Martini glass with a straw after lighting the Bacardi 151, then when they are half finished, pour in both side shot glasses and watch the colors change. Usually the drinker chokes then pukes. Good times
